Product Information

48 mm and the term 2 inches

In the packing tape market, 48 mm wide tape is often called “2-inch tape”, but in exact numbers, a full 2 inches is 50.8 mm. So this product uses 48 mm as the main measurement. If you need to use it with a dispenser that requires an exact width, please check the mm size before ordering.

How to check the size before buying

1. Measure the width of your old tape or the slot on your dispenser in mm.
2. Compare it with this product's width of 48 mm.
3. If your dispenser lists the size in inches, check its manual or supported width range before ordering.
4. Test stick it on your actual packaging before using it in large amounts.

Estimating the number of rolls from the 45-yard length

45 yards converts to about 41.148 meters per roll. This number comes from unit conversion, while the actual usable length may be less due to cutting, folding the ends, re-taping, and the leftover bit at the end of the roll.

1. Measure the length of tape used per box based on how you actually seal it.
2. Multiply by the number of boxes to find the total length.
3. Divide the total length by 41.148 meters, then round up to get the number of full rolls.
4. Add a little extra depending on how you pack and your actual use.
