Product Information

48 mm and the term 2 inches

In the box-sealing tape market, 48 mm wide tape is often called “2-inch tape”, but in exact numbers, a full 2 inches equals 50.8 mm. So this product uses 48 mm as the main size. If you need to use it with a tool that requires an exact width, you should check the mm size before ordering.

How to check the size before buying

1. Measure the width of your current tape or the slot of your tool in mm.
2. Compare it with this product's width of 48 mm.
3. If your tool states the size in inches, check the manual or the supported width range before ordering.
4. Test sticking it on your actual packaging before using it in large amounts.

Estimating the number of rolls from the 45-yard length

45 yards converts to about 41.148 m per roll. The actual usable amount may be less than this due to cutting, folding the ends, re-taping, and the leftover bit at the end of the roll.

1. Measure the length of tape used per box based on how you actually seal it.
2. Multiply by the number of boxes to find the total length.
3. Divide the total length by 41.148 m, then round up to get the number of full rolls.
4. Add a little extra depending on how you pack and your actual use.
